BPL Speed Test

BPL stands for Broadband over Power Lines and uses your electrical lines to deliver internet to your home. BPL speed test offers a free online bandwidth meter that shows the speed of your internet connection regardless of its source.

BTW: Your local computer store sells the powerline HD ethernet adapters, such as netgear, that allows you to connect you unattached garage to your home internet using your standard wall plug as in my case – and it works great!

I have fixed point wireless I can run the meter but not the graph test. I use to be able to run both. I use it when my connection seems slow as with fixed point the price goes up substantially with the speed. I’m not real happy with it but don’t have much for choices/ phone tethering /satellite. They are suppose to upgrade the system soon as they have too many costumers in this area. It least that’s what I’m told.
