Looking for a free virus scan? Look no more!
I have completed a number of tests using viruses that were sent to my email address; I took the attachments (viruses), placed them on an old computer I had sitting around (making sure not to unzip or run them), and visited the most popular online virus scanning sites on the net. My review of them and their links can be found below.
Some sites had a free virus scan but it was crippled, such as scanning for the virus but not letting you delete the virus without buying their software first. In fact, some of these sites wanted you to buy online even though I had a virus on my computer! Like anyone is going to give credit card information across the web when it could have a recording virus watching in the background!

If a website pulled stunts like this, then I excluded them from the list of sites offering free virus scans, so what you see below is just quality companies. Many times, a site might find most, but not all of the viruses while virus scanning site might find viruses the others missed, but miss some that the other found.
I know, sounds confusing, so this is what you should do – pick three sites and scan your computer for viruses with each one. By using more than one free virus scan, you’ll greatly increase the odds of finding the tricky ones.

i m having virus in my pc i want to scan my pc for free online
A friend of mine is experiencing some problems with his PC. Though he has pc antivirus installed. His windows takes an extremely long time to load (it sits on the welcome screen for about 10 minutes), once it does finally load there is practically nothing you can do due to the slowness. The boot up sequence takes a normal amount of time, which is why I think this may be a virus. The strange thing is that if I open task manager there are no processes running with high usage, it sits around 0-1% CPU usage and there is plenty of free memory.
I would appreciate it if anyone can advise me on what may be the cause of this.Is this a virus, or is it hardware? I have been unable to scan the computer for spyware/anti-virus as it is just to slow (even in safe mode).
Obviously, I am looking for a solution other than a reformat if possible.

my pc is runing for a very heavy virus of AUTOPLAY.
Download Kaspersky Antivirus Bootable CD and create a CD that you’ll boot from. This should take care of your problem – let us know what worked for you, will you Sarfraz?
