Here is a phishing attempt coming from email arisalazar@udec.cl with the name Ariel Humberto Salazar Moncada, but I’m guessing that’s all fake as the reply address is mr.grahamsbenfield@8u8.me
The scam claims I was selected from a Google Search from the Google Anniversary Promo and that all I need to do it write back for details. I did just that and included the response below.

I got the same e-mail from Lily G Brooke. We know it is not real. The worrying thing is that they have gotten my service provider login name, which has only been registered with blackberry!?
Also received an email to inform me that I had won 450,000 UK Pounds.. The reply was to go to Mr Smith McNeil.
Will Google please clarify that this is a scam and not genuine.

I got a similar email from Mr. Smith McNeil (Claims Officer) Tel: +44 746 681 8589 telling me that I have won £450,000.00, but I must first of all send £150.20 up front before they will send me a bank card to withdraw the money. Fortunately I came accross this website and discovered that it is a scam. £150.20 is a lot of money for a 74 year old pensioner.
Perhaps the hoax. However, Google should give us a definite answer.

I got the Google Anniversary Promo too, but from a Mr. Bernard, supposedly at Google and promising me £850,000. It looks authentic but it’s also too good to be true, isn’t it? How can we check that this is/isn’t a scam of some sort?

Yes THIS IS A FAKE!! I didn’t reply but I found a copy of the EXACT SAME e-mail on a different site. I mean the ticket number was the same and the e-mail ID was the same. DO NOT GIVE THEM ANY INFORMATION ABOUT YOU, IT IS A SCAM.
