Here is an email I received today that informs me I’ve got money waiting for me and that all I need to do is respond to the email with my social security number in the subject line. This came to me as an email titled DR.MATHEW SOGOLO OPEN AND READ with a RTF attachment named Mr.Richard.rtf
I’d ask if people really fall for these scams, but I already know the truth. Below is the scam, please do not respond to anything like this or you’ll lose your money and identity!

This card center will send you an atm card valued to the amount of $950,000.00 as first part quarter payment for this fiscal year 2012. which you will use to withdraw your money in any atm machine in any part of the world. so if you like to receive your fund this way please let us know by contacting the card payment center and also send the following information:

Note that because of imposters, we hereby issue you our code of conduct, which is (atm-411) so you have to indicate this code on the back of your social security number when contacting the card center by using it as your subject. Simply enter your SSN plus atm-411 in the subject line or it will be rejected.
